To settle excess population of large cities such as Tehran designing and constructing of new towns were began from 90s and the plans of more than 17 new towns were approved and construction of them were launched. Tehran has several new towns as well which one of them is Parand new town that its design was begun from 1994 and in 2004, after a reviewing, it was considered to settle 150.000 people and after a short time its capacity was changed to more than 700.000 and 11.000 dwelling were added to Parand new town during three years. This severe change in number of settlements in this city is because of increasing growth of urbanization in Iran especially around the great Tehran that can be seen in the whole of the urban complex of Tehran. |
