Abstract |
The 2008 Olympic Game has significant influence on the growth of Beijing Metropolitan Area, and the infrastructure construction has spurred booming real estate development. How to evaluate these impacts quantitatively and simulate the real estate growth scenarios and propose growth control strategies are important for the organization of the 2008 Olympic Game as well as for urban planning of Beijing city.
This paper applies the technologies such as remote sensing, GIS and computer simulation to study the effects of the 2008 Olympic Game on the real estate development in Beijing. We build an agent-based model to conduct simulation: Firstly, we explore the differences of housing markets between China and western countries. Secondly, based on these differences, we develop our Chinese-style model with a special logic of developer's decision-making process. At last, we integrate Repast and CitySim to implement a system prototype.
