Abstract |
In 2007, Wuhan urban agglomeration was authorized by Chinese government as one of the reform testing areas of national resource-saving oriented and environment-friendly oriented social constructions, this two-oriented society strategy is focused on the realization of urban sustainable development with the lowest cost of environmental resource, meanwhile, it put forward new requirements for reconstruction project of old urban zones. By taking this opportunity, the paper explores the impact and concrete exhibition of a two-oriented social construction on the reconstruction of old urban zones. After analysing difficulties of the reconstruction of old urban zones and comining with the reconstruction plan of old waterfront commercial district in Wuhan of China, this paper puts forward some new ideas and suggestions on policy-making, organization, participation and cooperation, and establishes a new urban reconstruction mode for old urban zones in the background of two-oriented social construction. |
