Abstract |
In 2009, the rate of urbanization in China was 46.6%, entering accelerating urbanization phase. With the development of urbanization and increase of population, the demand for dwellings greatly increases, resulting gradual rise of the proportion of residential land in urban construction land. Although quick growth of housing industry improves the service capability of cities, it puts huge pressure on natural environment. According to the theory of landscape ecology, if certain kind of patch accounts for more than 20% of the matrix, it would have strong development potential and ecological stability, becoming core part in urban ecological security pattern. In order to establish low-carbon city, this essay studies the structure of dwelling patches in Wuhan---central city of China, based on urban spatial planning approach, researching the feasibility of quantitatively identify and control residential ecological footprint as spatial planning and design method to cope with the growth of urban area and protection of environment, constructing urban ecological security pattern. From aspects of comprehensive planning and ecological carrying capacity, through studying the energy flow, material flow, social flow and information flow, which generated by residential activities, this essay aims at building DPRSC-AHP model for ecological process of residential ecological footprint, identifying important factors and their weight. From perspective of urban design, this essay treats urban ecological security pattern as potential utilization spatial model of the growing urban space and uses theory of mathematics and physics to introduce the conception of residential ecological footprint attraction and coupling indicator system, vectoring the relationship between urban space form, land structure and ecological footprint. It aims at qualitatively and quantitatively describing the ecological footprint generated by residential activities, guiding and controlling urban planning and design to establish sustainable urban ecological security pattern. |
