Abstract |
The territorial elements – subjects, milieu, resources – can’t be ignored from private and public sectors in local development projects: it has been recognised that the peculiarities of places have a strategic role into the implementation of the local development. This contribution aims to discuss about the significance to recognise, to select and to promote the territorial endogenous resources of a local territorial system in order to compete at global level and to support the auto-sustainable development at local level. This research is based on an analysis of territorial studies caratherized by a geographical, social and planning approach (Dematteis, 2001, Magnaghi, 2000, Raffestin, 1981, etc.), italian laws on territorial planning (Toscana, Liguria and Umbria Region), international debates on the territorial competitiveness (Conti, 2001, Cox, 1997, Porter, 1985, etc.) and, especially, it has been built up on the examination of a ''cross-border case study'': the eco-museums of Prali (Italy) and the open air museum of L’Argentière La Bessée (France). In this case-study the local networks have carried out economic, social and cultural initiatives, that have mobilized their endogenous resources: in this way they have strengthened local networks in order to be able to access to global networks. The results of the research could allow the public/private actors and the planners to elaborate local development actions, which really promote the endogenous resources on local/global level with new instruments of analysis. In particular, the main result of this reasearch is to point out that the “mobilization” of local territorial resources, as components of milieu, by the local networks with sovra-local relations helps to create “territorial added value”. |
