- Research of mondial junctures to invest a new emergent capital   521 kb by    Javier, De Mesones & Veronica, Gonzáles | euronet@plan-design.es    Short Outline Strategic measures are adopted to invest the NEW EMERGENT CAPITAL, coming from Panama channel explotation, into a national developing project, taking advantage of the best juncture: TOURISM Abstract “PARADISE WORLD” A NATIONAL STRATEGIC PROJECT TO TAKE ADVENTAGE OF THE NEW SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC WORLD-WIDE REALITIES PANAMA recovered the full sovereignty of its Inter-oceanic channel in 1999, accompanied by its associated socio-economic consequences. PANAMA is a privileged country because of its location, climate, landscape and its banking facilities. This makes it an excepcional region to live, work and holiday, wich attracts a wide variety of invesments. PANAMA does not possesses important mining, forestry, or agricultural-cattle raising richness. Only its fishing activity is significant. It has a relevant industry neither. The reality is that only the services sector is settled with efficiency. This combination of factors and circumstancies advised the adoption of extraordinary and strategic measures in order to invest NEW EMERGENT CAPITAL, coming from the channel exploitation, in a great national project wich, taking advantage ot the most appropriate global social-economic juncture, aimed at serving the sustainable development of PANAMA. Taking into account the human and economic stadistic numbers that characterise the tourism phenomenon, is evident that it represents the most significant socio-economic world-wide opportunity. To focus the proposal towards a successful outcome, it was made an analysis of the highest-level touristic actions to specify a “tourism excellence cluster” and put into practice a “benchmarking” process that allows to equalize and, if possible, improve the studied actions. This process leads to a PROPOSAL that consists of the creation of a VERY IMPORTANT, HIGH QUALITY touristic instalment with an ORIGINAL THEME and whose content shows the HIGHEST SINGULARITY. In this way, in accordance with Newton´s Law, it was determined the creation of an international attraction that obviates the existing distance difficulties. The PROPOSAL consits on the creation of: 1. THE THEMATIC CULTURAL-EDUCATIVE PARK 2. THE CITY OF THE ARTS 3. THE CITY OF SCIENCE 4. THE CITY OF CRAFTS 5. THE CITY OF SPORTS 6. THE CITY OF TOURISM 7. SERVICES VILLAGES 8. THE SEA AND THE TROPICAL FORESTS All this represents a net surface area of 15,000 ha.
