Abstract |
The authors (Metron Raumentwicklung AG) are currently commissioned by the federal planning office, federal environment authority and the Canton of Aargau's planning, building and environment unit to develop an action plan for the recycling of industrial areas. The measures were developed on a case-study-based approach. On the base of a theoretical framework (hypothesis) almost 40 interviews with private landowners, developers and representatives of local and cantonal authorities were carried out on 10 different cases. Out of these findings, and with the inputs of the accompaigning group, we developed a set of 18 measures in 8 bundles on what initiatives by public authorities could be helpful and effective to booster the re-use of industrial brownfields. |
